WOW!!! This website rocks! I love Zombie Prom, I'm so glad someone did this. My school, Parsippany High, was the first to do the show after its Off-Broadway run. I was lucky enough to play Sheila, the Makeup Lady, and a Parsippany High School addition, a Zombie Prom Dancer. With the help of our wonderful directors and choreographers Alexandra Shuss and Anthony Glade and also an original cast member of the Off-Broadway show to help us out, Stephen Bienskie, Zombie Prom was a huge success!!! This play had such a major effect on the Parsippany High cast that Enrico Fermi High will never be forgotten. :o)
Hello. :) I just want to say that I LOVE the show! My school,
Parsippany High School, was the first high school to do the show as a musical.
It was absolutely the best show we have ever put on in our school! Standing
ovations every night! Everyone loved it.. parents, teachers, relatives,
and even the original cast members. See, Steven Bienski, who played Jake
in the original cast, is good friends with our directors, Alexandra Shuss
and Anthony Galde. We received proffessional guidance to put on the show
and really did a good job. Most of the original cast even came to see the
show during the 3 day period in which the show ran. They loved it too!
It truly was an unforgettable experience that we will not forget. I'm glad
you have a web page on the original show. :) Vinnie
Dana just told me how to reach the web site. I'm trying to
get Bill Rogers to book the show with Gary Sandy in the role that Richard
Muenz created off-Broadway. This show is so terrific and deserves a chance
to get out to the rest of America. New York critics (some) didn't get it
but audiences gave standing ovations every night of the show's short run.
Thanks a lot. Your web site helps keep it alive.
Zombie Prom is a great play. I love you Stephan Bienski. Our
High School did Zombie Prom in the Spring of 1997, it was the best turn
out in years. Thank You all <3, gina
I have a special interest in Zombie Prom-- My Son's Name is
Dana Paul Rowe and Zombie Prom is the greatest-- I will enjoy seeing it
again
I figure I better answer a few question that I keep getting
e-mail for: 1) The ZOMBIE PROM CD *was* recorded but it hasn't been released.
Major tragedy. 2) I bought a playbook of ZP from Samuel French Theatrical
Publishers. Most drama bookstores have it or can order it for you. Also
if you contact Samuel French at (212) 206-8990 they sometimes send tapes
of the unreleased CD to people interested in producing ZOMBIE PROM. I'm
sure that is subject to availability. I can't promise that for sure.
Where can I get rights and royalty info on Zombie Prom???
Dear Sean - Thanks for contacting me about your new website
on THE FIX. Once again you've created a beautiful and creative presentation.
Keep up the good work.
I LOVED this show! I was so sad that it didn't run longer.
When's the CD gonna be released?
Wow, I didn't think when I received your e-mail that your page
would be as well written as it is. I thought it would contain some good
information and of course that it would be entertaining (because anything
involving the theatrical world is), but I didn't think it would be as articulate
and descriptive as it is. I have a love of writing as well, (which I am
badly botching right now) so it was re-freshing to see I'm not the only
18 yr old who is able to communicate through the written word. I would
love to read some of your work. Oh, the page is great too, lots of interesting
information and fun things to read about. Good luck with the publication
and the take care.
Awesome! Listen, I want to see that posed globe pic of you
so put it on here, okay? I love "Zombie Prom" and I'm so excited to see
you made a page for it! E-mail me, and tell me if you know how I can get
the CD recording of it, I thought they released it through Footlights Records
in Greenwhich Village, NY. Keep adding to this wonderful page of yours.
Talk to you in the future Sean!
Sean-- I was one of the publicists who worked on the New York
production of the show, and I just wanted to let you know that you've done
a fabulous job with the site. Out of all the projects I've worked on as
a publicist, "Zombie Prom" was easily my favorite--I think I saw it like
7 times! Many thanks for working so hard on the site and for keeping one
of my favorite shows alive. It seems to be a real labor of love.
'still crazy after all these years' simon
Sean, Greetings, I found your homepage by a fluke. I am friends
with Stephen Bienskie, Anthony Galde, and Alexandra Shuss. Last year, we
put on Zombie Prom in our high school...because I guess that Stephen gave
Alexandra and Anthony the idea to do it!! I LOVE YOUR HOMEPAGE!! I never
knew that anybody had put together a homepage for the off-Broadway show
of Zombie Prom. Our opening night we had most of the cast come to see it.
And I had always wondered what the original looked like, thank you for
having these pictures available!! They are awesome!!! Keep up the good
work!! E-mail me so we can have a "Blast" of a conversation!! Shine on...
Shaun
You're a babe and a half! Glad to meet you. I WILL be back
to see more....
I'm ato work and haven't had a chance to really peruse your
website but it looks cool. will say more later. Thanks, Jorge
Wow! Sean, your page rocks! I'm a student majoring in Musical
Theater in Washington DC. I also direct and stage manage in my "spare time."
Anyway, the theater that I work for is producing the American Primere of
the author's new show, "The Fix." The dates are March 19- April 19. I'm
currently working on the revival of Stephen Schwartz' "Working." "The Fix"
is the big news in DC now. I don't know if or what I will be doing with
it, but I'll let you know the details. All I can say is that if "Zombie
Prom" is as amazing as "The Fix" is, we've found a new voice for the theater!
Best wishes and regards! David P.S. If get more info on this piece or the
authors please let me know. Auditions for "The Fix" are coming up...
Interesting page. I've never heard of the show before you're
e-mail. If you're visitors are interested in a great theatrical vehicle,
make sure to consider auditioning for the Carrousel Players of the Coeur
d'Alene Summer Theatre in Coeur d'Alene, ID. They are a semi-professional
house which produces 4 musicals each summer. Contact person would be Roger
Welsh...and tell him I sent you.
Hello, Sean. My name is Shannon. I got your e-mail and visited
your page. I've never seen Zombie Prom, but I love the theatre & NYC
(i'm going to live there one day, you know), so I thought I'd visit. I
was just cast in a great show, so I haven't had much time to loook around.
(sorry) But, here's some info: I'm going to be a theatre major and then
a broadway director. You can review my shows on your page, okay?...anyway,
have a nice day! -- Shannon "It is of great help for a man to be in love
with himself. For an actor, however, it is essential." -- Robert Morley

There is no experience like theatre, There is nothing that
can compare. Live it to it's fullest.
Cool page, Sean. I used to live in Cowtown. Now I work at a
small college, act in community theatre and Mystery Dinner Theatre (for
money ~ although not much) and occationally still play rock and roll. I
got to your page via my Cornerstone Project page (you wrote to me over
that screen name.) Other links that may interest you: http://members.aol.com/bmax2000/index.html

Hey there, Sean!! Thanks for the E-mail!! Cool Stuff! Oh by
the way, as soon as you graduate from OSU, get out of Ohio. Pisces folk
have a tendency to grow despondant if left in the midwestern hell they
call Ohio. Trust me, I know. (My b-day is March 15, and I just graduated
from U. of Cincinnati) Anyway, I would be interested to read more stuff!
Take Care!! -Anna
Hi -- I've gotten a few messages about my guestbook not working.
I checked it out (and it does) -- but I contacted AOL tech and apparently
older versions of AOL (before 3.0) don't all support forms. So thanks for
the e-mails and if you'd like me to add your e-mail to this guest book
page just let me know! Thanks. Sean-O
Hi Sean. I work for the Nederlander Theatrical Corp. in Detroit,
MI. I've never seen Zombie Prom. Our big show is "SideShow" which just
opened with previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, NYC. If you are ever
in Detroit and want a tour of the Fisher Theatre let me know. My brother
lives in Marysville just outside of Columbus. Good luck in your endeavors,
the world is your oyster!
Always glad to hear of a young person with a love of the theatre.
I work with about 250 young people a year as an assistant director for
a community theater group here in Georgia. Oh yeah forgot to mention that
I am a chorographer too. Hense the dance bit. I have a daughter that is
a director. A son who owns his own soung and light company in Southern
Califirnia and a father who retired from Disneyland after working and know
Walt and Roy quite well. Oh yes I am a published poet and playwright. Would
love to hear all you are doing. I love your sense of humor and spirit.
Keep up the good work.
I am impressed. I will pass this along to those producers out
here in the midwest who might be inerested in the show.
Hey Sean! Thanks for letting me in on your very neat web page!
Cool, Gail
This is a really cool web page thank for the invite! Keep in
touch. Thanks! =Þ
I think it's a cool web page and quite funny. I like it.

Dear Sean, I enjoyed your website on Zombie Prom. I appreciate
the time you've taken to put all of this wonderful information together
for everyone to enjoy. We are looking for another production of Zombie
Prom to happen in the future. And we will keep you posted. Thanks again
for all your interest.
Looks great. I'd really like to hear some of the music? Cool!
Well what can I say!!! I'm blown away by your site. How did
you get those pictures??!! Unfortunatly, we never got any!! I'll tell you
I sure do miss that show. We've all stayed in touch with each other though.
I do have two very close friends who directed a production of ZP at Parsippany
High School in NJ and would love to be part of your site. Mail me any info
that they might need. I have been working closely with John and Dana and
they gave me this address. It's really killer!!!!! I'm about to open a
new off-Broadway show called "The Last Session". It will be playing at
The 47th st. Theater starting October 9th. If you can you should come and
see it. Everyone else from the cast has been working steadily since then
as well. Zombie Prom, though it closed early, helped a lot of us make some
pretty nice career moves.
Well my friend, rock on with your site and keep me posted on any other
ZP news!!
Best, Stephen Bienskie

I just finished playing a four weekend run of this show in Irving, Texas
with the Metro Players group. I was the percussionist for the band. We
played backstage behind a scrim.
This was such a fun show !! The drum book was put together really well.
The only exception was that there was a page missing on "Zombie Prom" in
Act II.
My full time job is as a middle school band director. The music is very
well composed , and it is fun to play as well as more interesting than
your typical show "book"
Congrats on a job well done !! I hope that this show gets performed
more often.
Good Luck

I did Zombie Prom this past summer, it was one of my favorite shows
I've ever done.
Name: Anne Frederick
I'm Anne Frederick. I was costume co-chair at the Upper Dublin
High School production of "Zombie Prom". I had a great time turning
45 teens of the 90's into teens of the 50's. Creating a zombie (complete
with white contact lenses) in about 8 min. of show time was also a challenge.
I'm still singing the music in my head all the time. This is a great
show for high schools!

I was Toffee in the Upper Dublin High School Production of "Zombie
Prom". I just have to say, I LOVE the show, and now, so does
all of Upper Dublin! We're all fans. I love the web site!

wow.. I read your post on r.a.t.m. and I had to come and visit your
site. I saw ZP three times and I loved it! I was very sad that it
closed.. I found out about it through Kevin Cahoon.. who played the role
of Josh in the workshop (but was doing Babes in Arms at the Gutherie when
ZP was off-bdway). since you seem to love the show so much.. do you know
anything about the cast recording that they recorded after it closed?
is it ever going to come out?
well.. as i said before i love the site.. great job..
thanks,
michele

Saw the Upper Dublin summer stage production last month and loved it.
(Could it be because a lot of my wardrobe from the 50's was included in
the costumes?) I am the sister of one of the costume designers and
the aunt of "Toffee". What a "blast"! I have the audio tape
playing constantly. Brought back a lot of crazy memories of growing
up in the 50's. Sean-is it possible to read other guest book comments?
OK, well, the Upper Dublin Summer Stage seems to think that they were the first ones to perform Zombie Prom, when is reality, Parsippany High School was the first, so I think they should get their facts straight. The origional cast members attended Parsippany High Schools performance of it, and i think they would know that it was the first showing of it since broadway. I think the Upper Dublin Summer Stage should look into their facts.
[I really don't think anyone was trying to take that title from your production. It is a misunderstanding I'm sure. Can't we all just be friends? :-) -- Sean]
Last year, our high school, Parsippany High School was the first High School to perform Zombie Prom. We had two great directors, Alexandra Shuss, and Anthony Galde, and the cast did a great job. If i had know about Zombie Prom while it was on Broadway, I would have loved to go and see it. I loved our schools performance of it, and I love Zombie Prom!!!
Hi! Me again! Just wanted to say that some people misspelled Anthony,
one of the directors for the Parsippany High School performance of Zombie Prom's
last name wrong. It's Galde. G-A-L-D-E I'm telling you this because he's a talented actor
too and any big producer people out there should see him perform! Love ya Anthony!
-Vinnie :)
