A Place to Go

Contributed by Pam Mann

In this world of grandeur
There are vistas to explore,
Horizons to be conquered
And wonders near and far,

And one of the most precious
Of these special things to see,
Exists so close, so near to home
It's missed too frequently.

It's a place of quiet solitude
Of happiness and love;
A place of hope and dreams and peace
Vast as the sky above.

It's a looking glass of wonderment
In which you're sure to see
Reflected the beauty of the world
Still more beautifully.

It's a myriad of fantasy
Colorful and bright,
Where anything can happen
And happen, anything might.

It's a haven full of vision
And like a crystal ball,
It can thrill you with it's promise
Of accomplishments large and small.

It's a wishing well of life
With depth and clarity,
And a penny for your thoughts;
It's thoughts are all for free.

It's a joyous land of innocence
Of mirth and gayety,
That's tempered with a wisdom
So incongruously.

It's a world of humor and laughter
Lighthearted and filled with wit,
That can take your downest, outest mood
And lovingly cure it.

It's a fountain of forgiveness
A spring of purity,
A stream to wash away your cares
That flows eternally.

It's a land where courage roams
Like the mighty buffalo,
And where ernest dedication
Is always found to grow.

It's a place of untolled virtue
Where your investment can't be lost,
A place to visit often
With no price, no toll or cost.

It's a sacred temple wrought by God
No man could duplicate,
So close, in a wink, in a blink of the eye
You'll arrive at its glorious gate.

So go there soon and often
For by now you must realize,
That you'll find this marvelous kingdom
In your Brownie's eyes.
